A Lifelong Horseman

Steven A. Sansone has been preparing for a racing and breeding career since 1985. The years of meticulous preparation and enthusiasm for the sport culminated in the founding of Long Grove Bloodstock LLC. Educated in both economics and business at Missouri’s Westminster College, Sansone spent two decades honing his business skills in the ad valorem tax field while serving as a paddock judge at the Atlanta Steeplechase and tending to his own horses. Several other stints in the thoroughbred industry, including licensed steward for the National Steeplechase Association and handler for the Fares Farm Dispersal, thrust Sansone into his initial position as a Bloodstock agent for leading agency Bradley & Bowden. Two years later, he launched Long Grove Bloodstock.

Long Grove Bloodstock offers a wide variety of services to the public and private thoroughbred horse industry. Pinhooking, broodmare selection and sales representation are some of the custom services offered that are tailored to meet the needs of any level of clientele. As owner of Long Grove, Sansone manages a private racing and breeding operation in addition to a pinhook partnership. With initial successes like a 115% return on investment in a yearling partnership, Sansone and Long Grove have become synonymous with performance and dedication to continued success.
